Her journey began on a farm in rural Vietnam where food was scarce and opportunities sparse. At a young age she decided to help support her family instead between taking that time away to pursue further education. Her adult life is filled with vivid memories of the Vietnam war, refugee boats and encampments, and new chapters of raising an immigrant family in a foreign country named Canada. Life remained challenging but through sacrifices and love Mrs. Phuong Luong Tran managed to raise the lives of her children and the people she loved and created opportunities she could not had dream back on that farm in rural Vietnam.
Mrs. Phuong Luong Tran was very much loved and respected by all who knew her well. She will be missed very much but her kindness in life will forever be reflected in the lives she deeply touched.
A visitation will be held Friday, April 21, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N, Guelph, ON N1H4P3. Following the visitation will be a committal service from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 762 Woolwich St., Guelph, ON N1H3Z1.
