PENDLEBURY, Nigel King (Nick)— Passed away, with family by his side, at Hospice Wellington, Guelph, on Tuesday, June 2, 2015. Nigel King Pendlebury, in his 90th year, was the beloved husband of Anne (nee Dabbs) Pendlebury (2001). He was the loving father of Carole Anne and her husband Derek Dabbs of England and Lynne and her husband Gary Bowen of Guelph. Nigel was the proud grandfather of Chris (Ange), Jonathan (Rachel), Brendon (Cloud), Brody (Emily), and Tara Moore, and great-grandfather of Taylor May and Keaton. Nigel was the dear brother of Roland Pendlebury and the late Brian and the late Collin. He will be fondly remembered by his niece and by many friends and neighbours. Nigel served with the British Merchant Navy during WWII on the Queen Elizabeth II. Private cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St., Guelph on Friday, June 5, 2015 from 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday June 6, 2015 from 10 – 11 a.m. A Memorial Service will follow in the chapel at 11 a.m. Interment of ashes will take place in Woodlawn Memorial Park, Guelph, at a later date.
