Michael Augustino Ciccia

CICCIA, Michael Augustino (long-time employee of Owens Corning)-- After a lengthy illness, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, on Saturday, November 24, 2012. Michael Ciccia, in his 77th year, was the beloved husband of Angelina (nee Paonne) Ciccia. He was the dear father of Sam (Angela), Ralph, Nancy (Raymond) George and Tony (Debbie). Michael will be fondly remembered by eleven grandchildren Christie-Lynne (Adam) Barry, Michael, Joseph, Gabriel, Jacob, Angelina (Mathew) Smith, Louis Contini, Adam and Ashton George, and Marianna and Michael Ciccia, and by four great-grandchildren Jetzia Contini, Samantha-Rae and Tru Smith and Adalyn Barry. He is survived by siblings Marianna (Angelo) Scroccaro, Ralph, Vince and Joe (Rose). Michael was the brother-in-law of Anne, Eleana (Mike) Fonte, Tony (Maria) Paonne, Melina Paonne, Tersina (Salvatore) Monteleonne. He was the nephew of Teresa Belcastro. Michael was the beloved uncle of many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter Mary, by his parents Salvatore and Annuziata Ciccia, by his in-laws Michele and Marianne Paonne, by his brothers Frank and Angelo, by his brother-in-law Salvatore Paonne, by his sister-in-law Rosa Ciccia, and by his nephews Sammy Fonte, Michele Monteleonne and by his uncle Domenic Belcastro. Friends are invited to meet with the family at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N. Guelph, on Monday and Tuesday (November 26 and 27, 2012) from 5-9 p.m. A Vigil for Michael will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Rosary Church, 175 Emma St., Guelph, on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at 11 a.m. Entombment, Our Lady Immaculate Mausoleum, Marymount Cemetery, Guelph.
