It is with sorrow that we announce the passing of Maureen Anne Harron of Guelph, ON. Maureen passed away on December 12, 2024 in her home at 67 years old. She follows her late husband Keith Harron (2016).
Maureen was a devoted animal lover, and could generally be found in the company of two or three furry friends while at home. While outside of her home, she could be found with her fiddle orchestra, grabbing a coffee, or attending her other music lessons. She was a lifelong fan of knitting, and was always on the hunt for new patterns and special yarns. Professionally, Maureen was a longstanding member of the University of Guelph Laboratory Services Team, having first been a member of the Ridgetown College Team.
Maureen is survived by her sons, Matthew Lunn (Meg Buchanan-Lunn), Nathan Harron (Kelly Bronson), and Lucas Harron (Hilary Harron), her brother, Brian Long (Linda Long), her sister, Elaine Lapadat (Paul Lapadat), her nephews Justin Lapadat (Melissa Lapadat) and Jordan Lapadat (Kristin Lapadat), her niece Jennifer Long, and her youngest nephew Ryan Long. She was also a grandmother and great-aunt to many little ones.
A memorial visitation for Maureen will be held Saturday, January 18, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Dublin Chapel (252 Dublin St. N, Guelph) followed by a memorial service at 3:00 PM.
