Margaret June Pearse Collins

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of June Collins on January 5th, 2023 at the Guelph General Hospital in her 97th year.

She was a loving and devoted wife to the late Edward Collins, her childhood sweetheart. After many years of separation she was finally reunited with her soul mate and enjoying their lives together all over again. June and Ed were a true fairy tale romance.

Proud mother to her loving daughters Janis Sorenson (nee King) of Thunder Bay, ON and Nadine (Andrew) Jackson of Rockwood, ON. Cherished grandmother to Skylar Sorenson and Rory Sorenson of Thunder Bay ON, Paul (Katharine) Jackson of North Bay, Alex (Jasmine) Jackson of Wingham, Steven (Jessica) Jackson of Erin and Christopher Jackson of Mount Forest ON. Proud Great Grandmother to Mikayla Jackson, Alyssa Jackson, Benjamin Jackson and Oliver Jackson.

Our Mom was a caring, generous person who lived life to the fullest, ever curious and eager to try different experiences and always “looking on the bright side of life.” That’s probably why she lived as long as she did. I think I speak for all of the family when I say we will all miss her friendly advice, her beautiful smile and her cherished presence.

Resting at Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St, Guelph, where cremation has taken place.
