Dear Larry and Brenda Nancarrow, 

Our deepest condolences are extended to you and your family at this difficult time.  As Principal of Mary Phelan Catholic School from 1993-2000,  it was my pleasure to get to know your family.   Brent was a very adventurous young lad, who enjoyed life to the fullest.  It was wonderful to witness his determination and zest for life.   And, I fondly remember Joshua, as a kind and gentle soul, who lit up every room he entered, with his beautiful, radiant smile.  His big heart and great sense of humour were endeared by all.   

My daughter, Susie, also has such fond memories of her dear friend, Joshua, from St. James High School.  She knows how loved Joshua was among her group of friends and how special their times were, shared together.  You will be greatly missed dear Joshua.  Sing and dance with the angels above.   Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.  Cherish all your wonderful memories.

33 years ago I was hired by the Wellington Catholic School Board as an Educational Assistant.  Joshua was my very first student.  We worked together until he graduated from Mary Phelan. Oh how he tested me and pushed my buttons.  But, we also laughed and had fun while I taught him all the things I was expected to teach him.  Little did Josh know he was also teaching me.  He taught me patience, to be flexible and to take things at a slower pace and have a laugh along the way.  We had a very special bond! Thank you Josh, I will miss you.  Sweet Dreams my friend!❤️

I’m so sorry for the loss of Joshua and Brent. Josh was in my class and I often sat next to him. He was so fun to sit beside. His laugh was contagious. I remember him waving papers towards his face and Mrs. Douglas telling him not to do “lu lus”. I will always remember his beaming smile and contagious laugh. My sincerest condolences.

I will never forget singing and dancing with Josh to Shania Twain at Steff and Kevins wedding. He loved Shania so much. The song was “You’ve got a way” We had a nice visit a while ago and he was excited to share how he loved making pizza. I am thankful for all the memories of sweet Josh and will hold them dear forever.

Brenda and Larry. I am so sorry for your loss. I will always remember our trip to sauble beach and how Josh would tell me about his favourite movie “the wedding singer” ! He always made me laugh when I’d visit! May he rest in peace with his big brother.

We hadn’t known Josh for too long, but he touched our lives in a very special way. His presence around family and friends was a joy to all and he will be missed by anyone who was fortunate to know him.

My heart is broken at the passing of my favorite student of all time. Josh had the sweetest personality and was the reason I loved to go to St. James and then out into the work force with him. He cracked me up as he tried to take my husband ‘s place when we took him to a movie.  I will always remember his name for me “hot fudge sundae.”
