John Ross Simpson

SIMPSON, John Ross (1929 – 2010) It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Ross peacefully, on Thursday, October 14, 2010, at Hospice Wellington, Guelph, ON. Ross leaves behind his loving wife June (Hardy) and his two children David Ross (Erin) Simpson of Orillia, ON and Elizabeth (Stephen) McNeil of Moncton, NB. He was the loving grandfather of Noah Simpson, Cameron, Patrick and Jacob McNeil. Predeceased by his brother George of Innisfil, ON. Survived by his sister Margaret “Peggy” Simpson of Canning, NS. Son of the late Joseph and Sadie Simpson. Ross enjoyed 40 years of fishing at Meteor Lake, his golf and curling at Barrie Country Club and 25 years of winter golf at Sun ‘n Lake Sebring, FL. He had a 25 year perfect attendance record in Barrie Rotary. He was a gentle loving spirit and will be sorely missed. It was Ross' wish that there be no visitation or service. Cremation has taken place and the family have said their private goodbyes. Arrangements entrusted to Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Guelph, ON.
