John (Giovanni) Pellegrini

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John (Giovanni) Pellegrini on November 9th, 2023. He died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family after a courageous fight with Cancer.

He will be missed immensely by his loving wife of 53 years Linda (Prigione) Pellegrini and his children Jeannette (Adam) Zieleniewski and Tara (Christopher) Bosch. Much loved and adored grandfather of Ally, AJ, Luke, Taylor, Andrew, Brianna, Jonah and Evelynn.

John was predeceased by his parents Maria and Domenic Pellegrini and his father and mother-in-law Danny (Albert) and Isabel Prigione.

Treasured brother of Anna (late Domenic )Altomare; Sheila (late Tony) Pellegrini; Frank (late Fina) Pellegrini; Nico Pellegrini and the late Mary Manni. Brother-in-law to Joan (Vince)Mammolite; Susan (late Albert) Prigione; Jim (Daniella) Prigione and Paul (Maria) Prigione; Jeannette (Ralph) Fairbairn and their families as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

We extend our appreciation and gratitude to Dr. Spadafora and to the nurses at Bayshore especially Katrina and Tara and to his favourite PSW Mary from Closing the Gap.

The Family will receive guests on Sunday, November 19th, 2023 from 1:00pm-3:00pm and 7:00pm-9:00pm at Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon Street, Guelph. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, November 20th, 2023 at 10:30am at St. John’s Catholic Church, 45 Victoria Road North, Guelph. A private family entombment will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Guelph General Hospital Foundation or Alzheimer’s Society of Canada. Donations can be made in person at the funeral home or online at www.gilbertmacintyreandson.com.
