January 30, 1944 - March 10, 2017
Richard John Dowdell, beloved brother of Donald Dowdell and Laurel Clinton, passed away at his home on Speedvale Avenue East, on March 10, 2017. John was born in Toronto, but lived most of his life in Guelph. John was a nature lover, poet, avid cyclist, accomplished amateur astronomer, astrologer, devotee of local square dancing and lover of music. A memory of life gathering for John will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at the Royal City Church, 50 Quebec St., Guelph. Those wishing to share condolences, memories, photos and stories are requested to send them to Donald Dowdell at carnaby3@yahoo.ca. A donation to the Canadian Cancer Society in his memory would be John's preference.
