Huiyu Zhang

With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Hui Yu Zhang on August 4, 2023, at the Guelph General Hospital at the age of 71.

Loving wife to Guo Qiang Zhou for 47 years. Proud mother to Xiao Wei Zhou (Zhi Hui Yu). Devoted grandmother to Yi Lin Zhou and Yi Jun Zhou. Cherished sister to Hui E Zhang (Shi Gang Gu), Jian Ming Zhang (Yue Di You), and Jian Xin Zhang (Hui Juan You). Proud daughter to Ya Qin Hua and Zhen Yuan Zhang (predeceased). Will be missed by all her friends and extended family.

Mother's Love is Eternal, Gentle as Spring

I miss my beloved mother, a kind and simple, wise, and beautiful woman, a hardworking, tidy, gentle, and considerate pillar of the family, and a great mother who is strong, patient, restrained and dignified.

My mother was born in Wuxi, China. Among the four brothers and sisters, my mother is the eldest sister. With her innate kindness and tenacity, she is deeply respected and loved by the other brothers and sisters throughout her life.

The mother's tenderness and kindness, and her incomparable love for her child, are like a spring breeze. Your beautiful appearance and wisdom make us feel the beauty and hope of life. You are always present in a mellow and unpretentious manner, exuding infinite understanding in every detail. Through diligence and hard work, you have guarded our family with a perfect heart and created a warm and harmonious environment. I remember you worked hard to take care of the housework, carefully prepared every meal, and kept the house clean and tidy, full of warm smells. The mother's love and strength are like a clear spring that nourishes the growth of the child. You never ask for anything in return, silently bear all the difficulties by yourself, and support the whole family with your inner perseverance.

The gracefulness and tranquility of mother taught us how to maintain inner peace in the noisy world. Your diligence and thrift in housekeeping, precepts and deeds are our guidance and motivation for us to stick to the right way.

Mom's spirit will live forever in our hearts. Your love, your smile, and your care will become our precious wealth and will inspire us to go through every stage of life.

Let us pray for my dear mother, may she rest in peace in heaven, no pain, no worries, only eternal peace. Remembering her kindness, her love, and her tenacity, let these qualities continue to take root in our hearts and become the best part of our lives, protecting us. We will cherish the good memories you left, pass on your virtues, and keep you in our hearts forever.

Resting at Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, 1099 Gordon St, Guelph, where the family invites friends for a burial and graveside service on Friday, August 11, 2023 at 10:30am at Farnham Cemetery, 408 Arkell Rd., Puslinch.
