Holmes, Helen-- At the Guelph General Hospital on Saturday, June 8, 2013. Helen (Charno) Holmes, in her 87th year, was the beloved wife of the late James Merton Holmes. She was the loving mother of Mark, Jayne and her husband David Smith, Greg,and Sandy and her husband Alex MacGillivray. Helen was the proud grandmother of Matt, Spencer, Meredith, Jaclyn, Garrett, Jamie, and Clinton, and step-grandmother of Campbell MacGillivray. Private cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service to Celebrate Helen's Life will be held at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel 1099 Gordon St., Guelph, on Friday, June 14, 2013 at 1 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Guelph Wish Fund For Children would be appreciated by the family.
