Garry Meredith

Meredith, Garry William Passed peacefully, surrounded by his family, at Hospice Wellington, on Saturday, May 25, 2013 in his 73rd year. Loving husband to Helen for 49 years. Beloved dad to Tina Meredith Chapman (Steve), Wade Meredith (Shannon), Terri Meredith Hopgood (Tom), Crystal Meredith Brennemen (Trevor) and Greg Hughey. Proud grandpa to Thomas Hopgood, Analecia Chapman, Taylor Hopgood, Hunter Meredith, Pyper Meredith and Connor Hughey. He was predeceased by his mother Madelyn Brill Meredith, his father William John Meredith, his stepfather Gordon Alexander Meredith and by his brother Karl Robert Meredith. Gary retired from Petro Canada in 2009, after 47 years of service. He was passionate about his job, his family, his loyal friends and co-workers. He was so grateful to all his family and close friends for their understanding and support as his health deteriorated over the past three years. Friends are invited to meet with the family at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph on Thursday, May 30, 2013 from 7 – 9 p.m and on Friday, May 31, 2013 from 10 – 11 a.m. A celebration of Garry’s Life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, May 31 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation has taken place. If so desired, donations to Hospice Wellington or a charity of ones choice would be appreciated by his family.
