Fernand Joseph Rivard

RIVARD, Fernand Joseph - Passed away at Guelph General Hospital on Friday, October 8, 2010. Fern Rivard, in his 88th year, was the beloved husband of the late Jean Anna (nee Robertson) Rivard (2006). He was the dear father of Ray, Dan and his wife Joan, and Glenn and his wife Debbie. Fern was the loving grandfather of Shannon, Jayme, Jeff, Bryan, Cheri, Matthew and Douglas and great-grandfather of Daniel, Denniella, Caeli, Isabella, Owen, Sophia, Sydney and Devin. He is survived by his brother Maurice Rivard of Toronto, and by two sisters Carmen Rivard of St. Catharines, and Helen Wheeler of Penticton, BC. Fern is predeceased by sisters Pauline Camidge, Jacqueline Rivard, Solange (Sally) Goetz, Theresa Mitro, and by brother Phillip Rivard. Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph, where the family will receive friends on Tuesday October 12, 2010 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Vigil for Fern will be held at the funeral home Tuesday at 8 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at St. John's Church, 45 Victoria Rd. N., Guelph on Wednesday October 13, 2010 at 10 a.m. Interment, Marymount Cemetery, Guelph.
