It is with sadness and a keen sense of loss that we announce the death of our beloved Aunt Eileen on February 21, 2022 in her 101st year at Hospice Wellington in Guelph Ontario. Eileen Mary Seifred was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by her husband, John Seifred (2014), by her father, Arthur Murphy, and her mother, Florence (Clawsey) Murphy, as well as by her 7 siblings: her sister, Rita (Murphy) O'Neill, and brothers Melvin, Clarence, Norman, Clifford, William and Bishop Bernard Murphy. Eileen was cherished by and is survived by many nieces and nephews. She possessed many characteristics which set her apart, and made her the wonderful person she was. She was deeply devoted to her Catholic faith which was of prime importance in her life. Eileen possessed a sharp intellect and a great sense of humour. Until her death she maintained an avid interest in politics and in current affairs. She will be missed by all who knew her.
The family would like to thank the nursing staff at Arbour Trails residence in Guelph for the comfort and care they provided to Eileen, and thanks too to the staff and volunteers at Hospice Wellington in Guelph for their care of Eileen in her final days.
