We were saddened to hear of Aunt Edie's passing. A beautiful lady who always welcomed us with a warm smile and an invite in for a cup of tea when we stopped in for a visit. We have warm memories of Aunt Edie and Uncle Jim stopping into the farm on the occasional Sunday afternoon. We would call Mom(Clara) to come out, pull steaks out of the freezer, raid the vegetable garden and have a lovely visit.

The Fischer family lived in the same neighbourhood in Guelph as my family. We went to the same school with the Fischer children and saw their family every week at St. Joseph's Church. A lifetime of memories was made even more special when Mrs. Fischer came to my mother's funeral in July 2017. We had a lovely chat together at the lunch and reminisced about her time spent with the CWL with my mom and all the serving they did for so many funeral luncheons! She then waited patiently to visit with my father. She was always so kind and soft spoken. Michael, Lynn, Jeff, Peter...I share in the sorrow of the loss of your mom. Having lost both parents now, I know what a huge void it is. May the wonderful memories you have and the fact that they are reunited, replace to sorrow you feel and help give you comfort and peace.

She was a wonderful lady, so proper and so proud of her family. I use to chuckle as she would often head off to Arby’s for supper. We were very saddened to hear of Aunt Edie's passing. The picture you have chosen (or Edith chose) is how I always remember Aunt Edie. That serene smile .   We have many early memories of our families together (the look on Edie's face when Michael went through the wall upstairs - oh dear we were in trouble!)  As with many families we go our own ways and only see each other at wedding and funerals.  With Covid unfortunately no funeral gathering.  Our hearts go out to you all, as no matter how old they get, and you know you will lose them it is still never easy.  She will be missed.    

So many great memories of our families together - Sauble Beach cottage rental and your Mom & Dad's big back yard and beautiful house! Aunt Edie was always so great with my Mom and she was a wonderful Aunt. Thinking of everyone!

Please know you are in my prayers on the loss of your mother.  Edie was very much a part of the life of Jack and Rose Marrin and I enjoyed the many occasions when  she was with us for family gatherings.  A sudden death is a shock to us but a gift  to the person called home in this way.  She will have a great reunion with all her family who have gone before her.
