SILVERTHORN, Donald Montgomery – Peacefully at Hospice Wellington, Guelph, on Saturday, June 30, 2012 in his 81st year. Beloved husband and best friend of Pat Silverthorn for 53 years. Dear father of Patricia Lynn and John and his wife Su. Cherished “Grumps” of Kirby and Mallory. Survived by his brother Gideon (Carolyn). Don will be missed by many dear friends, cousins, nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his sister Margaret Gilbert. Don was a lifetime member of Islington United Church, Etobicoke. Resting at Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph, where family will receive friends on Thursday, July 5, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Cremation has taken place.
