RYAN, Donald William— In Loving Memory of Donald William (Donny) Ryan Donald left us on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 with his 84th birthday approaching. He passed after a courageous battle with health issues that he confronted with the stoicism that only someone born and raised in the Great Depression could muster. He is survived by his loving sons David, Richard (Delphine) and Joseph (Neeta), grandsons Kiran and Bodhi and by Audrey Ryan and Lillian Wexler. Donny was dedicated to the cause of making the world a better place for children and to helping the less fortunate. He was passionate about the environment and focused his immense abilities on inventing and developing systems that would make his industry safer for the environment. Donny tried to brighten the world for everyone he met, even if only for a moment, by leaving them with smiles on their faces. His family and friends who survive him will dearly miss, though fondly remember his wit, his charm and his unmistakably Irish ability to tell a good story. A Memorial Service will be held to honour and celebrate Donny’s life at the Royal City Church, 50 Quebec St., Guelph on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Royal City Church to benefit those in need.
