It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Donald E. Crowe at home with his family at his side after a brief illness, at the age of 95.
Loving husband to the late Ethel (2018) for 66 wonderful years. Devoted father to Laurie Gazzola (Marino) of Guelph, Bill (Sheila) of Kearney and Dudley (Susan) of Mono. Proud grandfather to J.D (Hanna), Erin (Greg), Andrew (Stephanie), Glen, Grant (Amy), Leslie, Matthew (Tracey), William (Emily) and Donald. Treasured great grandfather to Isla, Harrison, Cora, Penelope, Daphne, Benjamin, Audrey, MacKenzie, Kaiden, Natalie, Sophie, Liam and Aubrey. Predeceased by his parents, Dudley and Irene (Reid) Crowe, by his sister Delphine and brothers Reid and Kelly and by grandchildren Mark and Jenna.
Don worked a long and rewarding career for T. Eaton Company. Don started his career as a truck driver and earned his mechanics license. From there he was transferred to London, On, where he was the head mechanic of the maintenance garage. Don then became a supervisor of the delivery department and in 1968 transferred back to Toronto and worked in various departments of Eatons. He ended his career as a National Transportation Manager of Canada. In his retirement he travelled North America with his two sons, trucking. Family was everything to Don and he loved when everyone was home and together. He loved to have a good time and had the best sense of humour. He was always ready for an adventure and always had a positive outlook on things. As grandchildren and great grandchildren came along, he always had an open arm for them. Grampy Don was a fixer; he could fix anything! He will be greatly missed by his loved ones.
