Diane Farrelly

FARRELLY, Diane - It is with sadness in our hearts that we share the passing of Diane Farrelly. Born Diane Marie Dawe in Guelph July 12, 1951, Diane left this world January 2, 2021. She was the loved daughter of Josephine and James Dawe (both deceased). She is predeceased by her husband David Farrelly. Diane is the beloved mother of Sandra Farrelly. Diane is cherished by her siblings; Frank Dawe (Marg), Sandra Dawe, Jim Dawe (Chris), Diane is the treasured Aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Diane is lovingly remembered by those fortunate to call her a friend. In her life she lived in Guelph and in Durham. During her time as Food Service Manager at Rockwood Terrace in Durham, she lived in that community. While there she developed incredible friendships and heartful bonds with many of her co-workers.

Diane had a way of connecting with people that was incredibly compassionate and quickly generated lasting friendships. In conversations with her, your voice was truly heard, and she would offer wisdom from her empathetic and loving heart. Her happiest times were spent in connection with others. Diane was also a big sports fan and loved to spend time watching games. She ventured into different sport streams but Hockey and Baseball where definitely her favorites.

We miss Diane so much already but know that she is peacefully resting with David. We are grateful for the love and joy she brought into our lives.

Due to COVID 19 restrictions, a Celebration of Diane’s life will be held in the future when we can gather in her memory. Today we send her off from where we are individually with each of our hearts full of love. Diane will be laid to rest beside her loving husband David.
