It is with a heavy heart that we share with you the sad news that Colin Germain (a.k.a. Col, Bro, Little Man) passed away on January 1st, 2021, at 39 years of age. He was a loving, kind, passionate, devoted, strong and courageous young man.
Colin was the loving son of Pauline Chevrier, Gaston Germain, and special step-son of Jane Kelland-Germain, adored brother of Tygha Jo and Manon, loved and favorite « mon oncle » to Fabi, Abèni, Ashley and Blythe. We also wish to acknowledge the love from and for his extended family: the Germains, Chevriers, Castonguays, and O’Haras/Kellands.
Colin’s laugh was infectious, as was his « joie de vie ». He had the facility to bring perspective, impart wisdom, and share laughter throughout his entire network of relationships, including his work colleagues.
To his wide and diverse circle of friends, spanning generations, cities, towns and countries, please know that you were profoundly cherished.
There are no words to describe the void created by his loss, but his “bigger than life” presence will continue to inspire the many who loved him to live out their best lives.
Sadly, « Une vie éteinte beaucoup trop tôt ».
May the treasured memories of his strength of character, yet tender heart, continue to shine; and may they forever be a blessing.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to be made to the SickKids Foundation or Plant a Tree in his memory.
A celebration of Colin’s life will be held on a future date, that will undoubtedly be dependent on the Covid situation.
We invite you to share your most beloved memories of Colin (including photos and videos) via the Memorial Wall tab above.
