It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Carol, who left us on November 13, 2024, at the age of 77. She was surrounded by her family, the people she cherished most in the world, and her love and kindness will be missed deeply.
Born on December 22, 1946, Carol devoted her life to her family, her faith, and her community. Beloved wife to Victor of 60 years. She was the proud and loving mother of four children: Boyd, Catharine, Donna and Matthew. Her heart grew even fuller with the arrival of her seven grandchildren, each of whom brought her endless joy, laughter and teachable moments.
Her strength, warmth, and selflessness defined her life. Outside of a full career, and volunteer work for her spiritual community, she spent her days creating a warm home, sharing wisdom with her family and friends, and showing endless support and encouragement. Carol had an open heart, welcoming everyone with grace and compassion.
Her family and friends will forever remember her for her radiant smile, her comforting presence, and the quiet strength she carried through every season of life. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and resilience. Her spirit lives on in the lives she touched and the family she adored. We find comfort in knowing that she is at peace, forever watching over us with a love that will never fade.
As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Grand River Cancer Agency, Guelph General Hospital Oncology and Hospice Wellington in Guelph. Their expertise and care made this difficult journey endurable. Thank-you, also, to the home care nurses at Bayshore.
Arrangements entrusted to Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, 1099 Gordon St, Guelph. A private memorial service will take place.
