Bruna is survived by her loving son and daughter, Jerry (Faith), and Mary, as well as by her sister Anna Martinello, and by her grandchildren Sara (Ángel), Sofia (Alex), Sonya (Dimitri), and Nina. Bruna is predeceased by her devoted husband Bruno Serafin (1995), as well as by her daughter Lucy, son-in- law Giuseppe, and siblings Dino, Ezio, Elisa, and Giovanni. She will be missed by her many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
Bruna was born in the smalltown of San Giorgio della Richinvelda, Italy, in 1934. She grew up learning hard work, discipline, and sacrifice from a young age -traits that she carried with her through life. Bruna eventually settled in Guelph with her husband, Bruno, and together they spent the majority of their years together raising their family and working at their salami factory. In her later years, Bruna took great pleasure in working at a greenhouse, a job she thoroughly enjoyed. This fit well with her personal hobbies, as she also loved tending to her glorious home gardens. Her green thumb was much envied, and she enjoyed sharing her bounty with her beloved family. This brought her much happiness over the years.
As per Bruna’s Request there will be no visitation and no funeral service. Special thanks to the staff at St. Joseph's Health Centre for their care during Bruna's stay. Arrangements entrusted to Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home-Hart Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations to either St. Joseph's Health Centre or the Make-A-Wish Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
