Passed away peacefully in her 91st year on the morning of May 24, 2024 at Strathcona Long Term Care, Mount Forest, Ontario. Predeceased by her beloved husband Robert (Bob) Brandon (2018). Survived by her loving children Robert Brandon (Vesna) of Kitchener and Barbara-Ann Jordan (Brent) of Elora.
Bernice was born in Mount Forest and lived there until she married Bob in 1959. They moved to Pine Drive in Guelph where they lived for 45 years. During those years they made lifelong friends and countless memories. Bernice enjoyed playing cards, singing and making sure no guest ever left hungry.
The family would like to thank all of the staff at Strathcona Long Term Care for the years of care they provided to Bernice. A special mention to nurse Bryan Campbell whose kindness and compassion helped us in Bernice's final hours.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon Street, Guelph (519-821-5077). As per Bernice's wishes there will be no service. Private family interment will take place at Mount Forest Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society or a charity of one's choice would be appreciated by the family.
