It is with great sadness that we the family announce the passing of our wonderful Dad on April 7, 2014. Bernard John Condon or “Bernie” was a 92 year old war veteran who spent most of his life filling people’s lives with laughter and music. He spent many years performing with the Geritol Follies in Hamilton. Always dressed so dapper and let’s not forget that ‘great moustache.’ A man who always laughed at his own jokes and taught us to be happy with what we have; a truly gracious man. His greatest joy was his seven children: Wendy Scott, Jean Andrews, Margaret Meredith, Lesley Vogel, David Condon, Andrew Condon, Jane Courtenay, and their respective families. He gave us so much. “Thanks Pops for everything.” A special thank-you to all the angels at Hospice Wellington – you are truly amazing people. Sincere thanks to Dr. Kottachchi for being a caring individual. Family and friends are invited to the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph, for visitation on Thursday, April 10, 2014 from 7 – 9 pm. A private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Wellington would be appreciated by the family. Donation cards are available at the funeral home (519-821-5077) or condolences may be left online at www.gilbertmacintyreandson.com.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2014 from 7 – 9 pm.
