Barry Symons

Symons, James Barry -- ( Retired Inspector with the Guelph Police Service after 37 years) Passed away with his family by his side, at Hospice Wellington, Guelph, on Thursday, December 6, 2012. Barry Symons, age 75 years, was the beloved husband of Catherine (Cote) Symons for 49 years. He was the loving father of Jeff Symons and his wife Sandra of Guelph, Tim Symons and his partner Mary of Burlington, and Sue Symons of Guelph. Granddaughter Leah was Papa's pride and joy. He is predeceased by his two brothers Ross and David. Barry is survived by Leone McFarland of Guelph and many nieces and nephews. He will be missed by his two furry friends, Maggie and Zoe. Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St.N., Guelph, where the family will receive friends on Monday, December 10, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Vigil for Barry will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 3:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Church of Our Lady 28 Norfolk St., Guelph, on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at 10 a.m. Interment Marymount Cemetery, Guelph.
