Alfred Drexler

Drexler, Alfred Joseph— Passed away suddenly, at the Guelph General Hospital, on Thursday, October 20, 2011. Alfred Joseph Drexler, in his 89th year, was the beloved husband of Shirley Marie (nee Bolton) Drexler. He was the dear father of Charles (Jeanette), David (Ruth) Alfred (Ingrid), Jerome (Pat), Robert (Lorna), Kevin (Christine), Pam (Mike Chapman), Peter (Linda), Cathy (Tony Iacocca), Therese (Robert Dennique), Laurie (Jeff Jadeski), Martin (Belinda) and Paula (Craig Richardson). Alf is fondly remembered by 43 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. He is survived by his brother George. Alf was predeceased by his brother Fred, by two daughters-in-law Anne and Jacqueline, and by his grandson Christopher Drexler. Friends are invited to meet with the family at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St. Guelph, on Saturday, October 22, 2011 from 7-9 p.m. and on Sunday, October 23, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Vigil for Alf will be held at the funeral home on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Church of Our Lady, 28 Norfolk St., Guelph, on Monday, October 24, 2011 at 10 a.m., followed by interment, Marymount Cemetery, Guelph.
