He was born in Loreauville, Louisiana on July 1, 1915 to Delma Judice, Sr. and Rosa Dugas Judice.
Shelby had lived in Groves for 64 years and was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church.
He retired as a mechanic/ pipefitter from DuPont Sabine River Works in Orange and had been a volunteer for the Army to patrol the waterway.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 20, 2011 at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church with Monsignor Kenneth Greig officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. A visitation for family and friends will be Sunday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves, Tx.
Shelby was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Velma Marie Judice.
He is survived by his wife, Viola Judice of Groves, two sons, Blaine Judice and wife, Rauline of Groves, and Harlen Judice and wife, Mitt of of Vinton, La.; two sisters, Eunice Oubre of Loreauville, La., and Ida Robicheaux of St. Martinsville, La.; brother, Milton Judice of New Iberia, La.; seven grandchildren, Kelly Galloway, Angela Roppolo, Ryan Judice, Damon Judice, Mitzi Patin, Taina Savoit, and Amber Stewart, and eleven great grandchildren, Nicole Judice, Blake Judice, Brody Judice, Brandon Patin, Montana Patin, Zack Galloway, Gabrielle Galloway, Isabella Roppolo, Caden Stewart, Bailey Stewart, and Allie Stewart.
