Robert Underhill

He was born March 26, 1922 to Elizabeth Kollar Underhill and Benjamin Underhill in Newburgh, New York.

He served in the Merchant Marines during WW11 from 1941 to 1945. He lived in Port Arthur/Groves from 1950 to 2005 when they moved to Rio Frio.

He retired as the owner/operator of Capt. R. J. Underhill & Associates in Port Arthur after 53 years. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Port Arthur and St Raymond Catholic Church in Leakey, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters and four brothers, his wife Sue Jean Underhill and his son Robert Michael Underhill.

He is survived by his sons, Mark Underhill and wife Becky of Port Arthur, John Underhill and wife Melissa of Groves, James Underhill and wife Jill of Groves, grandchildren, Robert, Allison, Michael, Kayla, Lauren, Jacob, Abby, Zachary and Peyton Larsen, great granddaughter, Norah and his sister, Marion Underhill of Bervard, North Carolina, several nieces and nephews.
