She was born on April 17, 1919, in Oklahoma City, and moved to Port Arthur at the age of two.
She lived in Port Arthur until she was 90 years old when she move to the Hampton at Willowbrook, a skilled nursing facility in Houston, in order to be closer to her children and grandchildren. Mary Tee graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School. She was a member of the Red Hussar Drum and Bugle Corps and served as queen of her senior class.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, John Robert "Bobby" Rizer, and was survived by her son, John Charles "Bud" Rizer, his wife Rosa, and their children Laura, Cathy, and Johnny Rizer, and her daughter Mary Bess Johnson and her husband Tom.
A celebration of her long life will be held at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 16, 2013, at 2:00 pm.
