Blaine Robin Graves

He was born August 15, 1958 in Van Nuys, CA to Milton Allen Graves and Dolores Guidry Respess. Blaine attended St. Joseph Elementary School and Bishop Byrne High School. He was a helicopter mechanic in the U.S. Army. Blaine worked at Associated Welding in Bridge City, TX. Family and music was his world. Blaine was very book smart and was fascinated with reading. He was a quiet but modest person. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, driving around in his car "Suga", and loved the Weather Channel. Blaine was always there to lend a helping hand to friends, family and strangers.

Blaine is preceded in death by his fathers, Milton Graves and Capt. Roland E. Respess; and a sister, Laurie Ann Graves Snell. He is survived by his mother, Dolores Respess of Port Arthur, TX; brothers, Christian Respess of Los Angeles, CA; Allen Graves of Tampa, FL; sister, Dr. Jennifer Jones of Michigan; nephew, Jerran Briggs Snell of Houston, TX; niece, Jade Allison Respess of Vidor, TX and a host of friends and family.

A gathering of friends and family will be held Saturday, May 3, 2014 from 10 a.m. until 2:30 p.m., with services to begin at 2:30 p.m. at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home in Port Arthur. Entombment will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.
