Wilma Faye Stewart

Faye Stewart (Lewis), A loving Mother, grandmother, sister and friend was born July 10, 1947 in Virgie Ky to her dear mother and father, Christopher and Pearlie Lewis. She passed peacefully at home while surrounded by loved ones, on February 5, 2025.

Faye was a loving mother who beamed with pride for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a devoted member of Little Angel Baptist Church and had a steadfast love for the Lord.

Faye is survived by two sisters, Fanny Lewis and Mona Thomas who are left to mourn her passing, yet honor her memory alongside her children, Chris (Lisa) Porter, Jeff Porter, Theresa (Roger) Gillispie, and Tina (Jeff) Lane. Those also left behind who will miss her loving and fun nature are twelve grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Her surviving nieces and nephews, as well as several cousins were always on her mind. Faye had several close friends who will miss her dearly.

Family was extremely important to Faye. She valued and cherished the time spent with them and was extremely proud of her upbringing. The countless stories she shared are cherished by those who listened intently to each one. Many stories included her family who passed before her.

Faye was preceded in death by her parents (Chris and Pearlie), four brothers (Dale, Joe, Carl Douglas and Charles), as well as three sisters (Rita, Jewel and Dorothy). Although they never met earth-side, there is no doubt she is embracing in heaven, her great-granddaughter, Ruth.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2025 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm and 5:00pm to 6:00pm and from 6:00pm to 7:00pm Pastors will speak at Schoedinger Norris Grove City, 4242 Hoover Road, Grove City Ohio, 43123. The funeral service will be on Friday, February 14, at Little Angel Church, 5733 Saltzgaber Rd, Groveport, OH 43125, starting at 10:00am. Interment will be at Sunset Cemetery.
