William G. McComb

William Glenford “Bill” McComb, age 82, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 1, 2023. He was born on October 21, 1940 in Columbus, Ohio. Bill met his wife Barbara “Bobbie” Phares (deceased) in Columbus. They were married in 1963 at Hoge Memorial Church. Bill was a vice-president at Automobile Club Insurance. Bill and Bobbie were longtime members at First Community Church in Grandview. After retirement, Bill and Bobbie moved to Logan where Bill served as the property manager for First Community’s Camp Akita. They also attended Logan Presbyterian Church. He was an avid woodworker and specialized in bird carvings. He had two children with Bobbie, Rebecca (Anthony) of Cleveland, and Bill Jr. of Columbus. Bill was also a loving grandfather to Sydney and Ian. He was the younger brother of Reba Eaton (deceased) of Columbus and Muzetta Brown (deceased) of Indianapolis. A Memorial Service will be held 12:00 p.m. Friday, January 20, 2023 at First Community Church, 1320 Cambridge Blvd., Columbus, OH 43212. Arrangements by Schoedinger Grove City.
