Rosanne "Rosie" Sutton

Rosanne “Rosie” Sutton, age 69, passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at Mt. Carmel Grove City. She is preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Betty (Bartoe) Strapp, and her sister, Elizabeth Strapp. She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, James “Jim” Sutton, children, Katie (Brian) Furniss, Ben (Liz) Sutton, grandchildren, Cailan Sutton, Lily Furniss, Connor Furniss, Leah Sutton, sisters, Susie Feller, Lisa Salt, Jackie (Dennis) Feller, Judy Strapp, Stephanie Strapp, along with many nieces, nephews and friends. Rosie was very involved with Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church and School throughout her life. She was one of the first kids to be baptized when OLPH services were held at Little Theater Off Broadway. Rosie volunteered at the school from the time her children were enrolled in kindergarten and went on to being an employee as a cafeteria worker and finally a teacher’s aide. She was with the school for over 28 years as both a volunteer and an employee. When Rosie was not volunteering or working at the school, she enjoyed being the driver, team mom, and cheerleader, making sure her kids got to their practices or recitals on time and did not miss any events they were involved in. In her later years, she stayed connected with family and friends online, sharing updates and pictures of her grandkids. The thing she enjoyed most was being a wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She would get together with her sisters frequently to share laughs and stories. Her smile and hugs will be missed by all who knew her. A visitation time will be held on Sunday, December 17, 2023 from 2-5 pm at SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY 4242 Hoover Rd. (Hoover Rd at Kingston Ave). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 18, 2023 at 10 am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church 3730 Broadway with Father Joe Yokum, Celebrant. Entombment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
