Rosalie Rood

Rosalie Rood, age 95, passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at Meadow Grove in Grove City. She was born in Omar, WV to the late Joseph and Olive (Buskirk) Tavan. She is preceded in death by her husband Wallace E. Rood, brothers, Beck, Jack, Joe, sisters, Mary, Pauline, Virginia, son, David Rood. Rosalie is survived by her children, Kitty (Floyd) Johnson, Wally (Janet) Rood, grandchildren, Andrea (Michael) Fosnaugh, Nathan (Faye) Rood, Randy Johnson, Daniel (Brigitta) Johnson, Mark Johnson, Julia (Dave Grabbner) Wood, seven great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren, nieces, Mary Anne Iles, Bonnie (Neil) Ketchum, Virginia Logan, Glenda ( Frank) Zeidan, Patty Lowry, Polly (Larry) Taylor, great niece, Sonya (Chip) Moser along with several other great nieces and nephews, special friends, Imogene Treadway, Dave Shipman, Nelly Guter, Tim Rodgers and many other friends. Rosalie was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. She worked as a cook in both institutions and restaurants for many years. She was passionate for cooking. Rosalie enjoyed watching old western shows, she read all 101 Louis L’Amour western novels and doing Penny Press puzzles. A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 2, 2022 from 2-5 pm with a prayer service with Father Michael Watson at 4:45 pm at SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY 4242 Hoover Rd (Hoover Rd and Kingston Ave.) A graveside will be held on Monday, October 3, 2022 at Beale Chapel Cemetery in Apple Grove, WV. In lieu flowers memorial contributions may be made to Ohio Health Hospice.
