Regina “Marlowe” (Hulbirt) Killam, 80, of Grove City Ohio, left her loving family October 22, 2023 to take her place with God in Heaven. She was born on April 23,1943 to the late Joseph B and Julia Madeline (Brogan) Hulbirt in Sayre PA. She moved with her family at an early age to Syracuse, New York. She attended and graduated from Most Holy Rosary School in Syracuse. Through a high school friend, she met the love of her life Bill Killam. In 1963 they got married and the love story began. By 1968 she was a mom of four children. She loved being able to stay home to raise her kids. After everyone was in High school, she enrolled in college to become a Nurse. In 1981 she graduated with a registered nursing degree. She began her nursing career at Crouse Irving Memorial hospital. In 1996 she moved to Florida with Bill where she worked at Orlando Health and retired after 30 years in the nursing field. In 2013 they moved one last time to Grove City, Ohio. In retirement Marlowe did not sit around letting grass grow under her feet. She belonged to the Bible Study group and was on the church health and wellness committee at Our Lady of Perpetual Help. She enjoyed traveling to many exotic locations with her husband, Bill. She loved going to musicals and Sunday dinner with her daughter Cheryl and son in law Rick, Spending time with her friends going to dinner with an occasional glass of wine and spending as much time as she could with her grandchildren, always trying to grab one more button from them for her collection. Marlowe was able to meet her first great grandson Emerson before she left us. Marlowe led a life of faith and love, serving God and setting an example for all those around her of how to be the best mom and grami around. May the angels of the Lord carry her to Heaven! In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Michelle Killam in 1983 and her brother, Joseph C. Hulbirt. Marlowe is survived by her husband of 60 years, William E. Killam; her children, Cheryl (Richard) Seifritz of Dublin, Ohio, William P. (Lacey) Killam of Mandeville, LA, and Tracy (John) Trinca of Owasco, NY; her grandchildren, Kaylee (Mike) Heins, Nicholas Trinca, William J. and Thomas Killam; and her great grandson, Emerson Heins. Visitation will be held 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. on Friday November 3, 2023 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 3730 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30 a.m. Marlowe will be interned, at a later date, next to her daughter Michelle at Onondaga Valley Cemetery in Syracuse, NY.
