James C. Douglas

James C. Douglas, 82, went to be with his beloved wife, Barbara Douglas, and his Lord and Savior early in the morning on Friday, October 14, 2022. He was surrounded by his daughter, Sherry Bova, and his grandchildren in his family home of over 60 years. James was born on December 29th, 1939 in Toledo, Ohio.

James was a proud Veteran of the Marine Corps until he was honorably discharged in 1963. James retired in 2005 after four decades working as a career pipefitter. James enjoyed working and providing for his family. He was a member of Canaan Land Baptist Church and was a loyal servant who dedicated his life in service of the Lord. Above all else, James was a proud family man who enjoyed spending time with his loved ones.

James was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Douglas and his two sons John Wesley Douglas and James Michael Douglas. He is survived by his daughter; Sherry (Timothy) Bova; grandchildren, Stacy (Jay) Olson, Nicholas (Melissa) Bova, Misty (Joey) Gresham, Shawn Douglas, Chris Douglas; along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Family will receive friends and loved ones on Thursday, October 20, 2022 during the hours of 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. at Schoedinger Grove City, 4242 Hoover Rd., (HOOVER RD AT KINGSTON AVE), Grove City.

The Funeral will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Shawn Beauchamp officiating.

Interment Grove City Cemetery West.
