Gary Eugene Davis

Gary Eugene Davis, age 70, of Grove City, Ohio passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2023. He was born December 30, 1952 in Chillicothe, Ohio to the late Paul Eugene and Joyce Eleanor (Knapp) Davis.

Gary found his passion in the arts at an early age. Whether he was painting nature scenes or teaching himself to play guitar, his early years in music and art were formative for his later endeavors. Gary would go on to have a career in Graphic/Multimedia Development for AT&T and Lucent Technologies and became the E-Learning Development Manager at Huntington National Bank. Gary faithfully served at The Potter’s House Church of God as Board Member, Sunday School Superintendent, and Music Minister. Out of all the awards and accolades he received, Gary’s favorite title was Papaw.

Gary was preceded in death by his father-in-law Charles Clay, mother-in-law Rosella Clay Simpson, and his brother-in-law Doug Clay.

Gary is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Teresa, and his two children and five grandchildren; his son, Clay and his wife Nicole; their children, Christian, Grant, and Jude; his daughter Julie; her children, Gavin and Natalie; his sister Debbie Sweet, his brother Terry, and his wife Pam, his brother Steve, and his wife Darlene, his sister Diana Hocker, and her husband Rick; his sister-in-law Roslyn Clay, and his brother-in-law Stan Clay, and his wife Candy; and many other relatives and friends.

A memorial service celebrating Gary’s life will be held on Friday, December 29, 2023 at 7pm at The Potter’s House Church of God, 3220 Lowell Drive, Columbus, Ohio 43204.

A private family burial was held at Concord Cemetery.
