Frank Russell Sandy

Frank Russell Sandy, Jr. age 71 of Grove City passed away Monday, May 31, 2022. Frank was born in Galveston, TX to the late Frank Russell Sr. and Clara Sandy. He spent his formative years growing up in Herrin, IL. Frank graduated from Southern Illinois University and the Apostolic Bible Institute. He was a minister in the United Pentecostal Church for more than 20 years as well as a Youth Pastor with his wife, Cathy. Frank was a beloved member of the Faith Worship Center in Galloway. He loved to worship the lord! Ministering the gospel and loving souls was a great pleasure to him. He loved spoiling and spending time with his grandkids, Lexi and Elliott. He loved trips to Florida, watching his beloved St. Louis Cardinals, and caring for his pets. He was a tremendous story teller and never met a stranger. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife Cathy Sandy who he dearly missed; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law Bonnie and Paul Brown. Frank is survived by his son Joshua (Tiffany) Sandy; granddaughter Alexis Sandy; Grandson Elliott Sandy; sister Lee Ann Lannom; nephew Ricky Lannom; niece Kristina Irby; grandnephews, Braeden, Landen and Lucas Irby; brother in law Kevin (Coral) Brown, niece Stephanie (Jude) Dille; and nephew Jeremy Brown and many other beloved family members and friends. Frank’s family will receive friends 5-8 PM Monday, June 6 at Schoedinger Grove City 4242 Hoover Rd (Hoover Rd at Kingston Ave) where his funeral service will be held 10 AM Tuesday. Rev. Curtis Spears, Rev. Michael Meadows, and Rev. Kevin Brown officiating. Interment to follow at Grove City Cemetery.
