Edward O. “Ed” Kincade, age 76, passed away at his residence with his family by his side. He is preceded in death by his parents, Erwin O. and Betty (McCrum) Kincade. Ed is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Jackie, sons, Kyle (Angie) Kincade, Korey (Sarah) Kincade, daughter, Kelsey (Chase) Chapman, grandchildren, Trent, Alyssa, Payton, Colt Kincade, Mason, Ben Kincade, Adley, Sadie Chapman, brother, Don Kincade, sister, Sarah (Greg) Dilley, and several nieces, nephews and friends. Ed graduated from Bliss College where he played basketball. He enjoyed camping, sprint car races, watching the Cincinnati Reds, but most of all he enjoyed watching his kids and grandkids sporting events. He attended every event he could. His love of sports turned into a part time job of refereeing basketball games as part of the Capital West Basketball Officials Association. Ed was also an avid softball player in his younger days playing for teams such as the Coakley Heat, Maplewood Inn, Baron’s Men Shop, and RC. He proudly wore number 32 throughout his athletic career and passed the love of that number down to his children and grandchildren who still wear that number with pride. Spending time with his family was the one thing that meant so much to him. A visitation time will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 from 4-6 pm at SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY 4242 Hoover Rd where Ed’s funeral service will be held beginning at 6 pm with Pastor Barry Bolin, officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation Great Lakes Chapter in Ed’s memory.
