Catherine Q. Davis

Cathy Davis was born Catherine D. Queen on February 20, 1929 in Gallipolis, Ohio. Daughter of the late Robert and Hattie Queen she was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years Delbert Davis, her son Scott Davis and her sister-in-law Imogene Morbitzer. Cathy graduated from Gallia Academy High School and attended Ohio University. While raising 2 children, she worked and eventually retired from Owens Illinois. She was a long time member of The Grove City United Methodist Church. In addition, Cathy was a member of the Women of the Moose Chapter 206, The Golden Moose Club, and The American Legion Auxiliary 532. She was also a past volunteer of the Grove City Cancer Thrift Store and Meals on Wheels. Cathy is survived by her daughter Karen (Bill) Johnson, her Grandchildren Brandon Johnson and Lindsey (Brittany) Johnson, her sister-in- law Norma (Morgan) Copley and various nieces and nephews.

Cathy died surrounded by family and friends at Storypoint Assisted Living in Grove City.

The Family will be receiving friends at Schoedinger Norris, 4242 Hoover Road, Grove City, OH on Wednesday September 14 from 3:00pm to 7:00pm. Funeral Services will be held beginning at 10:30am on Thursday September 15 at the Grove City United Methodist Church 2684 Columbus St. Grove City, followed by burial at Sunset Cemetery in Galloway, Ohio.
