Arthur Raymond Stewart, 73, passed away Friday, October 28, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 25, 1948 in Pomeroy, Ohio to the late Gerald and Dorothy (Lewis) Stewart. He retired from General Motors and United Auto Workers as an International Representative where he negotiated many contracts during his career. Art was an avid softball player and was appointed to the All American Team in the Senior World Series. He was a “jack of all trades” and could fix or build anything. In his later years, he enjoyed taking meticulous care of his yard. Family was important to him and he cherished being a husband, father, and grandfather. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry; nephew, Joe; and niece, Tracey Biumi. Art is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Jane (Gaver) Stewart; daughters, Kristy (Rick) Packer, Kim Fowler, and Kathy Stewart; grandchildren, Jake, Ryan (Lindsay Rose), Sara, Lizzy, Jaren, Olivia, Justin, and Lily; great-grandson, Weston; brother, Dr. Ron Stewart; and many other relatives and friends.
