Anna Marie D'Angelo

Anna Marie D’Angelo, age 92 of Grove City passed away Thursday, December 14, 2023 at Meadow Grove Transitional Care. Anna Marie was born in Columbus to the late Joseph and Sophia (née Lugger) Schirtzinger and graduated from St. Joseph Academy, class of ’49 and worked at Woolworth's while attending high school. She was later employed by Gates-McDonald. Anna Marie was a former parishioner at St. James the Less Catholic Church and a current parishioner at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. She enjoyed bingo, playing euchre, crosswords, ceramics and collecting owls. She also loved to dance, read and travel. She had an outgoing personality and enjoyed being “on the go”. Anna Marie was a proud breast cancer survivor. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by Ernest Edward D'Angelo whom she married October 7, 1950. Anna is the last one standing in her generation. Anna Marie is survived by her children, Mary Ann (Ron) Smith, Rose Marie (Sam) Schneider, Dan (Lynn) D'Angelo, and Don (Pat) D'Angelo; 10 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and her first great-great-grandchild due in 2024. Anna Marie’s family will receive friends 10-11 AM Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church 3730 Broadway where a Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 11 AM. Rev. Fr. Joe Yokum celebrant. Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery. All are invited to a luncheon at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Life Center following the committal service at St. Joseph Cemetery. Contributions may be made in Anna Marie’s memory to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church.
