"Billy Boy" we called him back in our old Neighborhood on Country Club in Harper Woods. Next door neighbors for some 20-30
years ago.  He was a tall scrawny teenager when we met him and his Mom and Dad were like a second set of parents to us.  I remember when he and Sue got married and moved only a few blocks away.   Remember their two little children.  Haven't seen much of the family since but would run into Billy Boy in the neighborhood while he was working   as we didn't move far away from the old neighborhood.
Frank and I have very fond memories of the entire family and want them to know they are in our thoughts and prayers.

My deepest sympathies go out to the entire Snyder family.  I have had the pleasure of working with Bill for several years and have yet to find a man who cared so much about his faith, his family, and the City of Harper Woods.  He would always share stories of the special times that he would spend with his children and grandchildren.  I loved his stories and his jokes and will miss him dearly.

Bill became my boss some 20 years ago, shortly before my entire life fell apart around my ears.  After seven years of working for one of the worst work environments imaginable and spinning my wheels in school, he gave me a job and encouragement when I needed it the most.
To this day, he is the only good boss I've ever had and an even better man.  He will be missed terribly and the world is a less bright place without him.

My deepest condolences to the family of Bill Snyder.  Most of my conversations with Bill had been by phone when I was employed with Grosse Pointe Park. I finally got to meet Bill 5 years ago, and found him to be one of the nicest guys I have ever met.  So much experience, and so much knowledge, of all aspects of anything municipal. It was a pleasure to have known him. 

Our deepest sympathy and condolence to the family. I have had the pleasure to know and work with Bill for the past 25 years and have never know a more selfless and dedicated person who has given so much of himself to the City and residents of Harper Woods. A true friend and colleague who will be greatly missed and could never be replaced. I have so many fond memories working with Bill and feel so lucky to have been able to experience his wit and humor along the way. Bill, you are one of the good ones, loved by many and missed by all. Rest in peace my friend, for you have earned it. Thank you for being part of our lives and the memories you have given us.

I think he was the nicest person always kind and helpful. He came to our church Crosspointe and really loved the Lord. 
He was extremely dedicated to his family. He will be missed.


I'm very sad to learn of Bill's passing. I have been here in the City for a long time and Bill was my go to guy. He was always very helpful and down to earth.   He was just at my house during the floods last year and gave me helpful ideas as well as hands on with his crew. He will be deeply missed. 😢

I can not begin to tell you how so very sad I am about this.  He was just the nicest person you could ever meet. I was just talking about him.   He helped me so much when I was on the job in Harper Woods and even at my home I bought on Broadstone.  Always there and asked for nothing in return.  He worked everyday and what a man to admire and dream to be like.  I am so sorry for your loss and heartbroken for your family.   I am sending my prayers for all of you🙏🙏🙏😢

My most deepest and sincere condolences to you Sue and your entire family with the passing of Bill.  I discovered with speaking with Bill, his love of strawberry crunch cheesecake and brought him a piece to the one of the city council meetings we were attending. The last time I saw him, he really expressed how much you both enjoyed it. His kind words encouraged me to forgo in opening my business.  Bill, rest eternally your assignment here on earth is now complete.

We are so sad to lose our neighbor Bill.  We haven't seen much
of Bill this past summer and have missed our conversations
held over the backyard fence.  During those conversations we
always covered many things; family, sometime politics, and
how good our "crops" were growing.

Bill will be sadly missed and we are keeping Bill's family,
Sue, the kids and grandchildren in our thoughts and prayers.
