Verlin Clay Sharpe

Verlin Clay Sharpe, age 88 of Roseville, passed away January 15, 2014. He was born in Baxter, Kentucky on March 12, 1925; the son of Dewey and Mary Sharpe. Verlin is an honorable WWII veteran of the United States Army Air Corp. He served his country as a Gunner from July of 1941 until September of 1945. Following the service, Verlin began a long and dedicated career as a Foreman at Detroit Radiators for over 25 years. In his spare time, Verlin enjoyed the outdoors; particularly being on the golf course. He also took great pride working diligently on his lawn and in his garden. Beloved husband of Delta for 67 years. Loving father of Penny (Gary) Bowers. Adoring grandfather of Brandy (Tim) Allport and the late Robin Raab. Treasured great-grandfather of Blake Neumann, Brooklyn Allport, Sean Delisi and Brett Delisi. Dear brother of Elvin Sharpe, Jeanette Hansard, Elwood (Gerri) Sharpe and the late Edna Gibson and Eula Bullard. Loving uncle of Allison Hickman and Tammy Jo (John) Kissler. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 2:00pm until the time of service at 7:00pm at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr at Masonic (13-1/2 Mile), Warren. Rev. Larry Allen will officiate. Private interment will take place Monday, January 20, 2014 at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East Cemetery in Clinton Township.
