Roy and I were roommates back in the 70's and literally walked onto a handball court together for the first time. In fact he was the reason I gave the game up for several years, I got tired of loosing to him. We were also teammates for many years on a softball team with a group of East siders known as the Mates.   A good friend, while he endured some difficult moments over the years, he was always sure to inquire about me and my family. A gentleman and a kind soul. Rest in peace my friend.

Roy and I grew up in the same Detroit neighborhood. We became friends in Jr High and he has remained a good friend ever since. He was a good-hearted soul and never had an unkind word. Roy's pleasant personality, quiet cheerfulness and genuine smile will be missed

I have been told that Roy was one of the best handball players in the lower part of Michigan. I had worked for Roy many years back and he was a great boss to work for. He will surely be missed. Condolences to the family
