Rose Marie Sosnowski

Rose Marie Sosnowski nee Michalski, 82, of Harper Woods has passed away on October 2, 2022. Born to parents Walter and Bernice Michalski, Rose Marie came into this world on June 2, 1940. Music was always apart of Rose Marie’s life, from singing in choirs from St. Peter’s Catholic Church to St. Basil’s Catholic Churches. She also sang in the St. Clair Shores Community Chorus. One of her greatest joys was singing with her husband Frank, to whom she’s been married to for 55 years. Teaching was also a large part of Rose Marie’s life. After studying at Marygrove College and University of Detroit, Rose Marie went on to receive her Master’s Degree. Rose Marie served as a teacher for a combined 30 years at Our Lady Queen of Peace, East Catholic, and Gesu Schools.

Rose Marie is survived by her loving husband, Francis “Frank” Sosnowski; children Matthew and Mark Sosnowski (Mandy nee Tocco); and grandchildren Emily and Isabelle Sosnowski. Rose Marie was a light to this world, and will be missed by so many.

A visitation will be held from 2:00pm-8:00pm at A.H. Peter’s Funeral Home in Grosse Pointe, with a scripture service at 7:00pm on Friday, October 7. A funeral mass will be held at St. Basil the Great in Eastpointe on Saturday, October 8, 2022 with instate beginning at 9:30am and service to start at 10:00am. A funeral luncheon will take place directly after services and will be held at Fern Hill Country Club in Clinton Township.
