Ronald Anthony Patek was born March 24, 1928 in Detroit and entered into rest October 4, 2011 at the age of 83. He was the loving husband of Nancy and devoted father of Elizabeth (Brendan) Patek, and Anthony (Erica) Patek. Ronald was the dearest brother of Robert (Marjorie) Patek and the late Ferdinand (the late Patricia) Patek. He Retired from the United States Department of Defense June 3, 1986. He attended the National War College where he was a member of the class of 1976. Ronald travelled the world and lead the development of the M1 Abrams Tank. Ronald will lie in state Saturday 10:30 am until time of mass of the resurrection 11:15 am at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 21620 Greater Mack, St. Clair Shores MI 48080. Monsignor Michael Bugarin to officiate, with Miltary Honors to follow. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association or St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church.
