Richard Laforest

Richard enjoyed boating and was an avid member of the Lake Trotters Boat Club on Lake St. Clair. When he wasn’t out on the lake you could find him brightening up the room at social gatherings with friends and family with his fun loving personality and good sense of humor. Richard traveled extensively with his wife Irene and liked to visit Florida, California, New York, and parts of Europe. In the winter months Richard enjoyed snow skiing up North and out West. Other hobbies include home improvement projects and spending time sipping wine with Irene in the garden.

Richard is survived by his beloved wife Irene, his brother Michael Belardi, nephew Brian Vermuelen, stepson William Roland and wife Celeste, stepdaughter Susan Roland-Pizzutello and husband Michael, and seven step grandsons he loved spending time with.
