She was born December 19, 1931 to the late Bryant and Catherine Fannon in Big Stone Gap, Virginia. Rebecca had a degree in business and a career that spanned both accounting and banking; she retired from Manufacturers National Bank after working 30+ years.
She was an active member of her church participating in Ladies Auxiliary and choir. Rebecca enjoyed crafting, reading, traveling, spending time with her family, and she loved to play cards.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Archie Deary, siblings- James, Lois, Sarah, and Margaret. Husband, Ray King. Son in laws, Frank Pashukewich and Victor Waruszewski.
She is survived by the following family members:
Daughters- Sandra Waruszewski and Sharon Pashukewich.
Grandchildren- Elizabeth Waruszewski (Kyle Augustine), David Deary, Rachel (Ronnie Terry) Deary, Krystal (Dan) Smith, Amanda Smith, Adam (Amber) Smith, Christopher Hersey.
Great grandchildren- Jaxson and Addison Tingle, Alexia, Isaiah and Amelia Smith, Kennedy Smith and Kyndal Davis.
Step-Daughters- Tammy King, Teresa (Charles) Buis, and Kimberly (Boomer) Owens.
Sister in-laws- Lola King Wynn, Geraldine (Brent) Allison, Dorothy King Bradley.
Brother in-law- Wheeler King
A graveside service for Rebecca will be held Thursday, September 1, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Woodmere Cemetery.
