Peter John Bommarito

Peter Bommarito passed away on March 29, 2016 at the age of 93. He was born on August 15, 1922; son of Clement and Antoinette (nee Martinico) Bommarito. Peter married Mary Ann on March 22, 1943. He, shortly after, joined the United States Army to fight during WWII. Peter and Mary Ann enjoyed fifty years of marriage until her death in 1993. They loved their daughter Kathy DiBella (Joe); and adored their grandchildren Steve, Jeff, and Michelle. He leaves behind his brother Bill. He was predeceased by his parents and brother Clem. Visitation will be held on Friday from 5:00 until 8:00 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave., at Vernier Rd., Grosse Pointe Woods. His funeral will be officiated by Pastor Larry Austin on Saturday at noon at the funeral home. Peter will be interred next to his beloved Mary Ann at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Detroit.
